Common Core lessons blasted for sneaking politics into elementary classrooms

I read an article called “Common Core lessons blasted for sneaking politics into elementary classrooms” on foxnews.com. It claims that Common Core courses give primary students misleading political knowledges in English class material, which is harmful for children’s education.
At the beginning of the article, the author makes a fact claim: “Partisan political statements masquerading as English lessons.” Worksheets published by New Jersey-based Pearson Education is an example. The context of the worksheets mislead elementary students’ understanding of the job of president. The argument that the author makes by example is convincing and works perfect. The consequences of this incorrect material like leading children to be indoctrinated instead of educated illustrate the author’s opinion further. Then, the author provides some counterclaims and rebuts them. The the Pearson official argues that the purpose of the material is to help with students’ English skill instead of the knowledge of the Constitution. However, the author gives some evidence saying that there are many states used this Common Core Standard Initiative, which indicates the importance of this Standard and how much the influence will be if it is not effective and incorrect. According to the quotation, the arguments that critics make are really good. They mention that the Common Core math standards almost doesn’t cover basic geometry or second-year algebra. What’s more, they not only argue from the Standard is not standard, but also argue that “the federal government's job to impose educational standards.”
